Situations where it is most difficult to maintain Sabr are those that bring together two factors:A strong impulse to do something, and circumstances that make it easy to do it. With both these factors present, Sabr or steadfastness in avoiding sin or staying away from what is blameworthy becomes most difficult. Conversely, the less available these factors are, the easier it becomes to remain steadfast. For instance, a person who neither wants to kill nor steal and who is not in a situation where they can kill or steal easily will have no trouble avoiding these sins.
